P Jayachandra`s sparkling century enabled Sahid Sporting register a 59-run victory over Rameswar Sporting in the second semifinal of the Bhubaneswar Cricket League at Unit-I High School ground in Bhubaneswar today. Jayachandra scored 144 of 121 balls, hitting 11 fours and eight sixes. He was adjudged the man of the match. Sahid Sporting will meet Paramount Sporting in the final tomorrow. The final match will be followed by a selection trial at Paramount ground here on January 8 and 9 for composition of Bhubaneswar A and B teams for the Kalahandi Cup senior inter-district tournament. A five-member committee, comprising Abakash Khatua, Subhasish Bhuyan, Khirod Behera, Asit Pattnaik and Janaki Ballav Pattnaik, has been constituted to select the players for the two teams.
