Favourites Cuttack Sports Hostels lifted the third Biju Patnaik Gold Cup All-Orissa School Football Tournament, defeating Balangir Sports Hostel 2-1 in the final at Unit-VI High School ground in Bhubaneswar today. After the first half ended goalless, man of the match Mahendra Nayak and man of the tournament Anant Narayan Das scored the two goals for the Cuttack side, while Lambodar Murmu reduced the margin for Balangir.

State Steel and Mines Minister Pradip Kumar Amat and former minister Padmanav Behera gave away the trophy and prizes at the closing ceremony. Seikh Kalimuddin (Cutack), A Mahesh and Sundar Marandi (both Balangir) were adjudged as best goalkeeper, best defender and best forward respectively.
