Richa Mishra of Delhi lived upto her reputation as the mermaid of India by winning all four individual gold medals on the second day of the 34th National Sports Festival for Women at Kalinga Stadium in Bhubaneswar today.
Asserting her supremacy at the Biju Patnaik Swimming Complex, the 25-year-old CRPF Inspector finished first in 200m freestyle, 100m breaststroke, 200m backstroke and 200m individual medley.
Tamil Nadu bagged the table tennis team title, defeating Uttarakhand 3-0. Sweta Khetri, K Aiswarya, Rupu Gupta and Divya Rajaram represented the Tamil Nadu team. Maharashta and Gujarat finished joint third.
Hosts Orissa experienced mixed results in handball by beating Madhya Pradesh for their third win, but lost to Punjab later in another match. In basketball, the home side went down to Andhra Pradesh 56-68
