Cuttack-A emerged champions in the inter-district under-16 cricket tournament, which concluded at Barabati Stadium in Cuttack today. In the two-day final, which ended in a draw, Cuttack-A got the better of Cuttack-B by virtue of first innings lead. The champion side received a cash prize of Rs 10,000. Brief scores: Cuttack-B 157 and 163/7 in 46 overs (Devapriya Patnaik 54, Pravat Swain 52: T Samal 2/15, D Choudhury 2/33, M Hasim 2/35) drew with Cuttack-A 194/5 declared in 57.5 overs (Pratik Tripathy 61, A Nayak 41: P Swain 2/36).
