  Biswabharati keep Apin Memorial T-20 Trophy

Host Biswabharati Cricket Club won the 1st Apin Memorial Twenty20 Cricket Tournament , defeating Rameswar Sporting of Bhubaneswar by seven wickets in the final match at SCB Medical College ground in Cuttack today. Subit Biswal and Roshan Swin were the architects of the Biswabharati victory with their scintillating batting display. Subit was the man of the match with a breezy 34 off 26 balls. Roshan Swain scored a whirlwind 24 of just seven balls. Priyabrata Pradhan (Rameswar) and Partha Acharya (Biswabharati) were rewarded as the best batsman and best bowler of the tournament. Partha bagged a double by receiving the man of the tournament award. The prize for the best wicket-keeper went to Hrushikesh Bangari. Champions Biswabharati received Rs 12, 000, while runners-up Rameswar were given Rs 8,000. Orissa Cricket Association secretary Asirbad Behera gave away the trophy and cash prizes at the closing function. SCB Medical College Principal PK Chinara, sponsors Wisdom School of Business director Indrajit Das, Biswabharati President Biswajit Mohanty, secretary Soumitra Choudhury were present on the occasion. BRIEF SCORE: Rameswar Sporting 90/10 in 19.1 overs (Chandrakant Mohapatra 19: Lagnajit Samal 2/17, Partha Acharya 2/22) lost to Biswabharati 94/3 in 11 overs (Subit Biswal 34, Roshan Swain 24: Alok Mangaraj 2/29) by 7 wkts.
