Abhilash Pattnaik bagged the singles title in the City Children Summer Tennis Tournament, which concluded at the Kalinga Stadium in Bhubaneswar today. In the final, Abhilash beat P Vikash Benedict 8-6. The doubles title was bagged by Rishi Garg and Harjas Singh Chawla, who got the better of Koel Mishra and Komal Vishakha 11-7 in the final clash. Altogether 35 boys and girls took part in the three-day tournament, which was organised with the aim to provide match-playing experience to school-level players. Earlier in the semifinals, Abhilash outplayed Yuhan Parekh 6-1 and Vikash defeated Tanmayee Patnaik 6-3. In the doubles last-four round, Koel and Komal edged out Tamanna Patnaik and Shashank Garg 11-10, while Rishi and Harjas prevailed over Anish Mishra and Raja Mohapatra 11-7.
