The BCCI will follow the relevant ICC guideline, which states that any cricketer or official who participates in an unauthorized event is supposed to undergo a `cooling` period of one year, before he is given the opportunity to play or take up assignments at the international level. However, the individuals will be able to play / be associated with domestic cricket during this period.
The first version of the Inter-Corporate tournament, which was announced by the BCCI earlier this year, will be played in the first week of September 2009. It will be fifty-overs-a-side competition, and will feature sixteen sides.
The BCCI has also recommended Gautam Gambhir and Jhulan Goswami for the Arjuna Awards (2008).
