An interesting battle in cuesports is all set to be witnessed on May 3 when Bhubaneswar meet Cuttack in the second leg of the Twin City Snooker Challenger Series at Cue Sport Academy in Bhubaneswar.
The one-day team competition will feature a series of seven matches between the two sides and each match will be a best-of-three-frame affair. Each team will have eight cueists, including one reserve.
The Cuttack side, led by reigning state champion Siddharth Sen, will be eager to win the second led and avenge the 2-3 defeat they suffered in the first leg at Cuttack Club earlier on February 22. The team seems to be in good form with Jeet Kishore Das winning the title in the first CSA All-Orissa Open Snooker Tournament in Bhubaneswar last week.
On the other hand, the Bhubaneswar outfit will be determined to maintain their supremacy in the newly introduced series. The strength of the team has received a boost with the inclusion of former state champion Ahsan-ul Haque as the captain.
On the sideline of the Challenger Series, an under-18 exhibition match between Chirag Arora (Cuttack) and Ashutosh Padhy (Bhubaneswar) will be played on the same day with the aim to encourage youngsters take to the sport.
