Top seed Subrat Das retained the title in the 5th Pradeep Sen Memorial All-Orissa Open Snooker Tournament at Cuttack Club, Cuttack this evening. In the final, Subrat (Bhubaneswar) outplayed local favourite Siddharth Sen 5-1 (68-20, 64-17, 65-27, 85-25, 55-79, 60-38) to win the top prize of Rs 21,000, while Sen received Rs 11,000. Earlier in the second semifinal, Subrat prevailed over fourth seed Ahsan-ul Haque 4-2 (51-38, 68-7, 27-39, 16-57, 61-47, 63-38). Loosing semifinalists Haque and Rakesh Roshan Pradhan became richer by Rs 5,000 each while the losing quarterfinalists Saurya Prasad Pattanaik, Subhranshu Kar, Satyam Pattnaik and Sureet Singh were given Rs 2,500 each. IMFA Group General Manager Sanjib Das handed over the trophy and cash prizes at the closing function.
