Defender Hrushikesh Behera will lead Orissa in the 63rd National Football Championship for Santosh Trophy to be held at Tiruchirapalli, Tamil Nadu from May 24 to June 14.
A 20-member state squad, announced by Orissa Football Association today, will leave for Tamil Nadu by Howrah-Tiruchirapalli Express tomorrow, accompanied by coach Mohammad Sahid Jabbar and manager Ramesh Chandra Mallick.
Orissa are scheduled to play their first match against Arunachal Pradesh on May 25 and thereafter take on Jharkhand and Goa on May 27 and 29 respectively. Out of the four teams in the group, one will advance to the quarterfinal round.
The squad was selected from a two-week-long trial camp at Satyabrata Stadium, Cuttack. The selectors picked as many as 12 players from Cuttack and one each from Bhubaneswar, Keonjhar, Angul, Ganjam, Sundargarh, Dhenkanal, Balangir and Sambalpur.

Defenders: Sunil Kumar Nayak, Raj Kumar Jee, Yubraj Garuda, Asis Kumar Nandi, Hrushikesh Behera, Shekh Manzoor (all Cuttack): Jagabandhu Modi (Keonjhar).
Mid-fielders: Hemanta Das (Angul): A Naresh (Ganjam): Sidhartha Sankar Pruseth (Sundargarh): Prakash Kumar Dilla (Cuttack): Akbar Khan (Dhenkanal): Biju Marandi (Balangir).
