  Rameswar Sporting lift trophy

Paresh Patel and Purna Moharana hit a half-century each and compiles 125 runs for the fourth wicket partnership to help local favourites Rameswar Sporting beat Biswabharati Cricket Club (Cuttack) by six wickets in the final to win the Radio Chocolate T-20 Cricket Tournament at Chandrasekharpur in Bhubaneswar today. All-rounder Patel slammed a 43-ball unbeaten 73 to be adjudged the man of the match. Biswabharati batsman Rashmi Ranjan Das, who scored an unconquered 76 in the final, was named the man of the tournament. The champion team received the top prize of Rs 15,000, while the runners-up outfit became richer by Rs 10,000. Industrialist Dibyalok Pattnaik handed over the trophy and cash prizes at the closing function. Saheed Sporting Club coach Shashank Sekhar Das was honoured on the occasion for his commendable contribution to cricket. The tournament was organised by Crowning Sporting. Brief score: Biswabharati 167/4 in 16 overs (Rashmi Ranjan Das 76 n.o, Samir Mohanty 40, Roshan Swain 24) lost to Rameswar Sporting 169/4 in 15.4 overs (Paresh Patel 75 n.o, Purna Moharana 51: Samir Mohanty 2/21).
