  Anup, Sara, Haryana crowned at Sub-jr Judo Natls

Anup, Sara and Haryana were crowned at the Junior National Championship, which concluded at KIIT University campus in Bhubaneswar on Saturday. Uttar Pradesh boy Anup and Maharashtra girl Sara Majid were adjudged best judokas, while Haryana lifted the team title. Haryana topped the medals table with eight gold, two silver and six bronze medals, while Uttar Pradesh finished runners-up with four golds, two silvers and two bronzes. Host Orissa, which fielded a 15-member squad, drew blank. Medal winning other teams included Delhi (3+1+1), Manipur (2+3+2), Madhya Pradesh (2+0+2), Maharashtra (1+2+4), Jammu & Kashmir (1+0+1), Kerala (1+0+1), Andhra Pradesh (1+0+0), Punjab (0+6+9), Rajasthan (0+2+3), Mizoram (0+1+2), Services (0+2+0), Chandigarh (0+0+3), Karnataka )0+0+2), Uttarakhand (0+0+2), Gujarat (0+0+1), ITBP (0+0+1), Tripura (0+0+1) and West Bengal (0+0+1). Judo Federation of India secretary Mukesh Kumar, KIIT secretary Achyut Samant and Orissa State Judo Association president Priyabrat Patnaik gave away the trophy and prizes at the closing ceremony. Results: Girls 14-17 years: Above 52kg: 1. Sara Majid (Mah-A), 2. Rashmi Tyagi (UP), 3. K S Rashi (Man) and Anjali Sharma (Pun). Boys 14-17 years: Above 60kg: 1. Ramasre Yadav (UP), 2. Ramanveer Singh (Pun), 3. Joe Lalrisanga (Miz) and Nishant Huda (Har). Boys 17-20 years: 81kg: 1. Jitender Kumar (Del), 2. V K Gupta (Ser), 3. Gula Prasad (UP) and Avtar Singh (Pun). Above 81kg: 1. Rajendra (Har), 2. Mohammad Aslam (AP), 3. Gursahad Singh (Raj) and Rupinder Rishi (Pun).
