Orissa youngster Adwithiya Patnaik beat Amrit Anjan (UP) 6-1, 6-2 to reach the semifinals of the AITA Championship Series (under-14) Tennis Tournament at Dehradun today. But Adwithiya’s Gurukul Tennis Academy partner Shakti Ray crashed out of the of the Talent Series tournament, losing to top seed Harsh Gurnani 2-6, 0-6 in an under-14 quarterfinal match at Jamshedpur. Bhubaneswar lad Shakti suffered dehydration and injury in the match and later conceded his under-16 singles match.
