Tata Steel’s effort to set up a modern sports complex at Shankarpur in Keonjhar district has taken a concrete shape with the completion of construction work, amounting to Rs 5 crores Facilities available in the complex include, an indoor hall, galleries with 2,000 seats and an open field with a 400-meter running track. The indoor hall has a gymnasium, changing rooms and courts for badminton, basketball and volleyball. Jamshedpur Utilities Services Company Ltd (JUSCO), a subsidiary of Tata Steel, has built the complex for which land was provided by the State Government.
