As expected, Orissa teenager Chinmaya Pradhan went down in his second round singles match after giving a tough fight to top seed Manoj Sewa in the AITA Men’s Ranking Tennis Tournament at Patna today. Qualifier Pradhan played aggressive tennis, displaying powerful serves and ground strokes. But experienced Sewa used his drops and lobs to good effect to win the hard-fought match 6-4, 6-4. Out of singles, Pradhan, a product of Gurukul Tennis Academy, will play his first round doubles match on Thursday with Devpriya Jaiswal (Bihar) as partner.
