Anup Mohapatra emerged champion in the 7th Nalco East Zone Golf Tournament at Bhubaneswar Golf Club (BGC) course in Bhubaneswar today. Zero-handicapper Pawan Marwa of Beldih Club (Jamshedpur) bagged the best gross prize, while Mohapatra’s BGC-mate Tapan Mohanty finished runner-up in the main (0-18 handicap) category. Titles in the 19 to 24 handicap, senior and ladies categories were claimed by Jayant Biswas, Gopinath Sarangi and Kim Na Hyun respectively. Record number of participants (150, including 8 ladies), excellent weather and picturesque course helped Nalco East Zone live up to its reputation as the biggest golf tournament of the state.
