  Friends Cricket Club emerge champions

Home favourites Friends Cricket Club defeated Maulana Azad Cricket Club, Totapada in the final by 13 runs to win the Rabindra Mishra Memorial State-Level Cricket Tournament at Nachuni, Khurda today.

The champion side received a cash prize of Rs 15,000, while the runners-up took home Rs 10,000. Er Pravat Ranjan Mallick, Dr Rama Ballabh Dash and Saket Agarwala gave away the trophy and cash prizes at the closing function.

 

Manoranjan Mangaraj and Rakesh Pattnaik were adjudged as the man of the match and man of the tournament respectively. Organised by Dina Maheswar Seva Parishad, the tournament brought local talents to the limelight and provided lot of entertainment to the crowd.

Friends Cricket Club: 84/10 in 14.3 overs (Deepak Palei 29, Manoranjan Mangaraj 20; Meherban Khan 3 wkts, Sahid Khan, Akhta and Raja 2 wkts each) beat

 

Moulana Azad Cricket Club: 71/10 in 13.5 overs (Habibulla Khan 34; Santosh Sahu and Manoranjan Mangaraj 3 wkts each, Mithun Sethi 2 wkts).
