Up-coming Orissa cricketer Bhabatosh Paramanik left here today to join the Special Academy on spin bowling at Chennai. A member of Orissa under-16 team, Paramanik would be part of the fifth batch trainees to join the academy, which has been introduced by the BCCI.

According to Orissa Cricket Association secretary Asirbad Behera, Paramanik would hone his bolwling skills there from August 18 to September 7, under the guidance of teaching faculty of the National Cricket Academy. Earlier Orissa’s Abhilash Mallick and Sujit Lenka attended the specialisy academy on batting and wicketkeeping respectively.
