Stat-studded Kendrapara-A lifted the P C Behera Memorial Trophy by trouncing Sundargarh 3-0 in the final of the 10th Senior Women Inter-District Football Tournament at Agrahat, Choudwar, Cuttack today.

India striker Sasmita Mallick starred in the triumph, scoring a brace in the 30th and 69th minutes. Janjali Sahoo netted the second goal in the 65th minute. The champion side received a cash prize of Rs 5,000 at the closing function.

Six Orissa players and coach Mohammad Saheed Jabbar were felicitated on the occasion for helping India win the title in the 1st SAFF Women Football Championship last month in Bangladesh. Among the players, Sasmita Mallick was given Rs 25,000, while Suprava Samal, Pinky Bompal Magar, Gayatri Mallick, Alochana Senapati and Sita Sharma got Rs 10,000 each. Coach Jabbar received Rs 15,000.
