Jammu & Kashmir Bank Football Club overcame host Samaleswari Sporting 1-0 in the final to emerge champions in the 6th All-India Sambalpur Cup Invitational Football Tournament at VSS Stadium in Sambalpur today.
Bilal Wani scored all-important goal off a penalty kick in the 27th minute. The champion team lifted the Rs 5 lakh-worth silver trophy and a cash prize of Rs 2 lakhs.
Sambalpur MLA Jayanarayan Mishra handed over the trophy and cash prizes at the closing function. Runners-up Samleswari Sporting settled with a cash prize of Rs 1 lakh.
