Puri bagged a double by winning team titles in both boys and girls categories of the 19th Orissa State Malkhamb Championship at Berhampur Stadium on October 29 and 30. Sujata Ray (senior girls), Prakash Gochhi (senior boys), Srilata Ray (junior girls), Umakanta Sahoo (junior boys), Rekiprava Ray (sub-junior girls), Deepak Budek (sub-junior boys), Anam Charan Ray (u-10 boys) and Padmini Patnaik (u-10 girls) emerged champions in individual categories.

Altogether 50 competitors, including 15 girls from six districts participated in the two-day championship, which was hosted by Ganjam District Yoga and Malkhamb Association, under the guidance of Orissa State Malkhamb Association.
