Sourav Mohanty and Abinash Sahoo (both DAV Public School) bagged the prizes as best bowler and best batsman of the tournament respectively, while prize for the best fielder of the tournament was claimed by Rajesh Behera of Cambridge School. State billiards and snooker champion Subrat Das, former football players Narayan Choudhury and Yudhisthir Sahoo were felicitated on the occasion with citations and cash awards of Rs 5,000 each.
Speaking on the occasion, Maninder Singh described the PVR Murty Memorial Inter-School Cricket Tournament as one of the best of its kind in the country and thanked host Union Sporting Club secretary Pradeep Chauhan for promoting the game at the grassroots level in an enviable manner though this tournament.
