Odisha eves end campaign with 4th consecutive defeat
11 Mar 2013 BHUBANESWAR

Odisha lost to Hyderabad by five runs to end their nightmarish campaign with four defeats in a row in the All-India Senior Women`s T-20 Cricket Tournament at Pune today. The poor performance of the Odisha team belied the fact that it had vanquished the Pakistan national team in a World Cup warm-up match at Cuttack six weeks ago.

Chasing a target of 103 in their last league match, Odisha could make 95 for five in the stipulated 20 overs despite a captain`s knock of 48 by Madhusmita Behera. Earlier electing to bat, Hyderabad recovered from 56 for five to post a decent total of 102 for six. Jyoti Kamal Barik was the most successful Odisha bowler, bagging three wickets for 18 runs.
