Yazdani Club-73 (Bhubaneswar) mauled SAIL Football Academy (Bokaro) 5-2 in the final to win the title in the 9th All-India Biju Patnaik Memorial Football Tournament at Ispat Stadium here today. After Kishore Kharia opened the floodgates in the 10th minute, Rupei Hansdah scored a brace (15th, 33rd) and Khiradhara Soy (42nd) netted another goal to power Club-73 to 4-0 commanding lead in the first half.

In the 65th minutes Rizatmi ML brought a consolation goal for the Academy, but 13 minutes later Santosh Tudu scored the fifth goal for the winning side. In the final minute of the game Suraj Singh scored an inconsequential goal for the Academy.

Hockey Olympian Dilip Tirkey gave away the trophy in the presence of Rourkela Steel Plant Executive Director Dipankar Basu and Panposh Sub-collector SB Mishra. As many as 10 teams participated in the tournament, which was organised by Rourkela Spots Association.
