Future Hope retained the title in the All-India Under-19 Rugby 15s Tournament with a 27-5 convincing victory over their Kolkata opponents Jungle Crows in the Cup final at Kalinga Stadium here today. Last year`s runners-up Mumbai Gymkhana finished third, while local tribal school, Kalinga Institute of Social Sciences (KISS) occupied the fourth position.
Delhi Hurricanes finished fifth, defeating local outfit Bhubaneswar Rugby Football Club in the Plate final 10-7. Bhubaneswar secured the sixth position, ahead of Young Rugby Club (Kolkata), who won the Bowl final, edging out Karnataka 3-0.

Bhubaneswar scrum-half Dharamananda Bhoi received a trendy bicycle as the best player of the four-day tournament. Odisha Sports Minister Ramesh Chandra Majhi and KIIT founder Dr Achyuta Samanta handed over the trophies at the closing function. Host Odisha Rugby Football Association president Priyadarshi Mishra and secretary Upendra Kumar Mohanty were present on the occasion.
A three-member committee, comprising Rugby India general manager Nasser Hussain, assistant National coach Manas Kumar Jena and IRFU tournament organiser Tony Mcluskie, selected 50 players, including 17 from Odisha, for a National camp to be held next month.
Players for Indian team for a four-nation tournament, scheduled to be held this year at Lahore (Pakistan), will be picked from the National camp. The five-day tournament was inaugurated by State Steel and Mines Minister Rajanikanta Singh. Hockey Olympian Dilip Tirkey, host Odisha Rugby Football Association president Priyadarshi Mishra and secretary Upendra Kumar Mohanty were present on the occasion.
