Sant Gadge Baba Amravati University emerged champions in the Central Zone Inter-University Kho-Kho Tournament, which concluded here at Vani Vihar today. Rashtrasant Tukadoji Maharaj University (Nagpur), host Utkal Univeristy and Osmani University (Hyderabad) finished second, third and fourth respectively.
Amravati won two league matches on the final day, defeating Osmania and Nagpur 12-8 and 13-11 respectively. Utkal defeated Osmania 7-6 in another match of the day. The top four universities qualified to compete in the All-India Inter-University Championship to be held at Kozhikode from December 24 to 27.
