Accountant of General (AG) Odisha won the 9th Pravakar Das Memorial Football Tournament, defeating host Unit-VI Athletic Association 1-0 in the final at Unit-VI High School ground here today. The champion team received a cash prize of Rs 10,000 and the runners-up team Rs 5,000.
Chetan Nayak, Jayant Rout (both AG); Prakash Nayak and Surya Patnaik (both Unit-VI) were adjudged as the man of the final, best defender, best forward and mid-fielder respectively. Eminent industrialist Tara Ranjan Patnaik handed over the trophy in the closing function. The week-long tournament, featuring eight teams, was organised by Unit-VI Athletic Association.

February 17 (QF 1): Marshall Sporting Club, Bhubaneswar (Badrinath, Salman Soren) beat Mangala Club, Cuttack (Nirmal Swain) 2-1.
February 18 (QF 2): A G Odisha (Rajendra Hembram 11th) beat KIIT  1-0.
February 19 (QF 3): Kishore Club (Narayan Murmu 37th) beat Bajrangbali Club (Bichitra Nayak 18th) 4-2 via tie-breaker.
February 20 (QF 4): Unit-VI Athletic Association (Prakash Nayak 23rd, 40th) beat Green Club 2-0.
February 21 (SF 1): AG Odisha (Anupam Kujur 20th) beat Kishore Club 1-0.
February 22 (SF 2): Unit-VI Athletic Association (Gokul Pradhan 48th) beat Marshall Sporting 1-0.
February 23 (Final): AG Odisha (Nipendra Das 47th) beat Unit-VI Athletic Association 1-0.
