As many as six umpires from Odisha have been included in Basketball Federation of India`s `A` and `B` panel after performing well in the examinations conducted during the year 2013. According to BFI CEO Roopam Harish Sharma, Sangram Keshari Nayak and Mohammad Saheed have been included in Panel `A`, while Lagnajita Samal, Kali Prasad Ratha, Juber Ali Khan and Sukanta Dhar have been inducted in Panel `B`.

The umpires` examinations were conducted during the 40th Sub-junior National Championship at Patna from August 18 to 25 and the 64th Junior National Championship at Cuttack from September 1 to 8.
