Barabati MLA Debashish Samantaray and Sanjay Behera were today re-elected unopposed as Football Association of Odisha president and secretary respectively for a four-year term (2014-2018). In fact, all 15 office-bearers and 16 council members were elected uncontested following withdrawal of nominations by vice-president candidates Ramesh Chandra Mallick, Nilamani Rout and Janardan Das.
Srikara Mishra of Bolangir District Athletic Association became the new working president, replacing Aswini Patnaik. Election results were formally announced at the annual general meeting on June 22.
