Bureaucrats XI continued their supremacy in the Tata Steel Friendship Cup Football Tournament, winning the title for the fourth successive time here at Kalinga Stadium today. Impressive goalkeeping by Devidutta Biswal helped Bureaucrats XI beat host Tata Steel XI in the hard-fought final 3-2, via penalty shoot out.
Earlier in the semifinals, Bureaucrats XI edged out Media XI 3-2 also in penalty shoot out, while Tata Steel XI prevailed over Legislators XI 2-1. The one-day tournament, featuring four teams, was inaugurated by Tata Steel (India & South East Asia) MD T V Narendran.
