  DPS girls, BJEM boys emerge champions

Delhi Public School (Kalinga) girls and Buxi Jagabandhu English Medium School (Bhubaneswar) boys emerged champions in the St Xavier`s Cup Twin City Inter-School Basketball Tournament, which concluded at Barabati Stadium here today.

In the low-scoring girls` final, DPS defeated KIIT International School (Bhubaneswar) 20-12. The boys` title match proved to be high-scoring affair with BJEM outplaying Police High School (Cuttack) 59-35.
 

As many as 21 teams from 16 schools of twin city Bhubaneswar and Cuttack participated in the four-day tournament, which was organised by St Xavier`s High School in association with Cuttack Basketball Association (CBA).

Odisha Olympic Association secretary Asirbad Behera handed over the trophies at the closing function. St Xavier`s School Director General G S Patnaik, Director P C Mohanty, Odisha Basketball Association secretary Ashok Sahu and CBA secretary Ashok Kumar Sahoo were present on the occasion.
