Balanga College (Puri) emerged champions in the Utkal University Inter-College Men`s Kabaddi Tournament, defeating BB College (Chandikhol) 39-11 in the final here at Vani Vihar campus today. Earlier in the semifinals, BB College beat Panchayat Prahallad College (Nischintakoili), while Balanga College got the better of Kharasrota Mahavidyalaya (Singhpur).

Altogether 38 colleges participated in the four-day tournament. Utkal University Vice-chancellor Prof Ashok Das handed over the trophy in the presence of university sports council director Prof Jayant Parida.
