  BBSR Colts crowned E-League champions

Youth prevailed over experience as Bhubaneswar Colts emerged champions in the E-League Cricket Tournament, beating defending champions Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) in the final by 26 runs here at IMMT ground today.

Impressive team effort helped Colts lift the trophy, which carried a cash prize of Rs 25,000. Star-studded BSNL team settled with the runners-up prize of Rs 15,000 despite their captain Niranjan Behera and stumper-batsman Priyabrata Pradhan putting up fine individual performance.
 

Trophy and prizes were given away by IMMT Principal Scientist Dr S K Singh, Administration Head P K Ray, TCS Principal Consultant Manoj K Choudhury and Practice Head Debesh Mishra.

BRIEF SCORE: Bhubaneswar Colts 169/8 in 40 overs (Sandeep Patnaik 39 n.o, Ashish Sahu 30, Satyajeet Sabat 30; Niranjan Behera 5/35) beat BSNL 143/9 in 40 overs (Priyabrata Pradhan 58, Niranjan Behera 31; Anurag Prusty 3/35, Sandeep Sethi 2/13) by 26 runs.

INDIVIDUAL PRIZES: Man of the tournament: Niranjan Behera (BSNL); Man of the match: Anurag Prusty (BBSR Colts); Best batsman: Ashish Kumar Sahu (BBSR Colts); Best bowler: Tukuna Sahu (BSNL); Best wicketkeeper: Sarthak Dash Mohapatra (TCS).
