  KRA boys, women and BRFC men triumph

KISS Rugby Academy (KRA) bagged a double by winning titles in under-18 boys and women categories of the Bhubaneswar Rugby Seven Tournament, which was organised by Odisha Rugby Football Association (ORFA) here at Kalinga Stadium today. Bhubaneswar Rugby Football Club (BRFC) denied KRA a treble as they won the title in senior men category.

Altogether 14 teams participated in the one-day tournament. In the senior men final, BRFC beat KRA 15-10. Earlier in the semifinals, KRA thrashed Puri 35-0, while BRFC routed Kashis Rugby Club 20-0. Jaipur Rugby Club and Kalinga Rugby Club were other two teams in the fray.
 

KRA women avenged the defeat of their men team by mauling BRFC 10-0 in the women final. Earlier in the semifinals, KRA made mincemeat of Cuttack Rugby Club 30-0, while BRFC annihilated Puri Rugby Club 40-0.

The under-18 boys final also proved to be a lop-sided contest with KRA outclashing BRFC 15-0. Earlier in the last-four stage, KRA prevailed over Google Sports Academy 20-0, while BRFC tamed Jajpur Rugby Club 15-0. ORFA secretary Upendra Kumar Mohanty handed over the trophies at the closing function.
