Sumit Ojha of DAV Public School, Pokhariput won the title in the 2nd Schools Open Chess Tournament, organised by Lingaraj Club, in co-operation with Orissa State Chess Association (OSCA) at Kailash Sadan, OldTown here today. In the day-long tournament, Ojha scored 6.5 points out of possible seven. Piyush Kumar Chinara of Stewart School finished runner-up with six points.

Culture & Tourism Minister Ashok Chanda Panda, Bhubaneswar Mayor Ananta Narayan Jena gave away the prizes in the presence of Lingaraj Club secretary Ajay Kumar Dash and tournament arbiter Debasis Panigrahi.
