  Deep Grace Ekka completes 100 international caps

It is a moment of dual celebration for Odisha girl Deep Grace Ekka, who completed her 100th  international cap today in at India’s final group stage match against Australia on her 22nd birthday at the Four-Nation Women Tournament at Darwin in Australia.

Ekka made her international debut in the Four-Nation Tournament in Argentina in 2011. She was one of the star performers at the FIH Junior World Cup in 2013, where the Indian eves won a bronze. She was also part of the team that won the FIH World League Round 2 in New Delhi in 2015.

In her time in the senior squad the team also won the silver medal in the Women’s Asian Champions Trophy in 2013 and the bronze medal at the Women’s Hockey Asia Cup the same year. The star performer, Deep Grace Ekka, was also member of the squad for the 17th Asian Games Incheon (Korea) 2014, where Indian eves beat Japan by 2-1 and won the bronze medal.
