As many as 16 teams will vie for the trophy in the 2nd Aurobinda Memorial All-Odisha U-15 Cricket Tournament, which is all set to be staged by Bhubaneswar-based premier cricket club, Paramount Sporting at Paramount Sporting Ground here from April 7 to 28, 2017.
The champion team of the Aurobinda Memorial Tournament will receive a cash prize of Rs 20,000 and the runners-up side Rs 10,000. This was announced by club president Pratap Jena in a press conference today in the presence of vice-president Amar Mohapatra, secretary Ashok Patra, treasurer Sanjib Rath and coach Mohammad Azad. Services cricket captain Soumya Ranjan Swain, who is a star player of the club, was felicitated on the occasion.
Participating teams are: Saheed Sporting, Mukteswar Cricket Club, Paramount Sporting-A, Jagruti Cricket Academy, Bharat Bhusan Cricket Academy, Pragati Sporting, Paramount Sporting-B, Rameswar Sporting, Town Club, OSCAR Sporting, Greens Cricket Club (all Bhubaneswar); Juvenile Club, Rising Students Club, Solar Cricket Club (All Cuttack); Bhadrak Cricket Academy (Bhadrak) and Balasore Cricket Academy (Balasore).
