Odisha duo Subhransu Senapati and Kadambini Mahakud were conferred with the Saheed Sporting-Maruti Estate Cricketer of Year Awards, the silver jubilee of which was celebrated with a glittering function here at Hotel Empires today.
Keonjhar and Odisha allrounder Subhranshu, who scored 497 runs, including one hundred and three fifties in his debut first-class season last year, became the proud receiver of the 25th edition of the award, which carried a trophy, a blazer and a cheque of Rs 31,000.
Experienced Dhenkanal and Odisha wicketkeeper-batman Kadambini, who put up impressive performance last season, bagged the fourth Woman Cricketer of the Year Award, which accompanied a trophy, a blazer and a cheque of Rs 21,000.

The prestigious awards, the oldest of its kind in Odisha, were handed over by Odisha Cricket Association Working Committee chairman Dhiren Pallai, in the presence of Maruti Estate India (P) Limited Managing Director Jitendra Pratap Singh and Saheed Sporting Club secretary Pankaj Patnaik.
The Award was instituted in the year 1993 and this year`s awardees were chosen by a 12-member committee, comprising of sports journalists Sanatan Pani, Sushant Mohanty, Sambit Mohapatra, Suresh Swain, Sanjib Biswal, Tapan Swain, Niranjan Reddy, Umakant Mishra, Samir Rout; Maruti Estate Managing Director Jitendra Prasad Singh and Saheed Sporting secretary Pankaj Patnaik.
