Jyoti Kumari was the top scorer for Odisha with 12 goals. She was followed by Manisha Naik with 10 goals. Odisha Football Association announced a cash reward of Rs 5,000 for each of 20 players, coach, manager and physio of the Odisha team.
As many as 20 teams participated in this championship, which kicked up a controversy on the opening day as Haryana team was not allowed to play their opening match against Manipur after their coach became ineligible for not possessing a C Licence. Two more teams _ Karnataka and Assam _ failed to turn up.

Match 2 (Ravenshaw Ground): Jharkhand (Basanti Lakra 25’, Sunita Munda 34’, Soni Munda 91’) beat Delhi 3-0. Match 3: Odisha got walk-over against Karnataka, which failed to turn up. Match 4 (Barabati Stadium): Manipur got walk-over against Haryana as Haryana coach was found ineligible without a C Licence).
July 2: Match 5 (Barabati Stadium): Maharashtra beat Pondicherry 18-0. Match 6 (Ravenshaw University Ground): Kerala beat Punjab 4-1. Match 7 (Barabati Stadium): Bihar beat Andhra Pradesh 11-2. Match 8 (Ravenshaw University Ground): Gujrat beat Uttar Pradesh 5-2.
