Odisha pace bowlers played instrumental role in the win, bagging all 20 wickets in the match. Rajesh Mohanty, the youngest of the pace trio, was most successful, pocketing 10 wickets for 66 runs, including a career-best six for 47 in the first innings.

Mohanty also reached the milestone of 50 wickets in first-class cricket, achieving the feat in his 10th match. He was rightly adjudged the Player of the Match. The rest 10 wickets were shred by Basant Mohanty and Suryakant Pradhan.

The fourth Odisha player who shone in the match was wicketkeeper-batsman Sujit Lenka. His defiant half-century (56 off 117b, 10x4) helped Odisha take the first-innings lead. For Lenka, this was his maiden first-class half-century as well as career-best knock.

Earlier, put into bat by Odisha skipper Subhranshu Senapati, Chhattisgarh were bowled out for 134 in the first innings. In reply, Odisha made 215. Odisha will next meet Services at DRIEMS Ground in Tangi, near Cuttack, from Dec 17 to 20.
