  Odisha FC notch 4th consecutive ISL win

Odisha FC strengthened their playoff hopes with a 2-1 win against Hyderabad FC in the 59th match of the 6th Indian Super League Football Tournaent at the GMC Balayogi Stadium in Hyderabad today.

Marcelinho gave the hosts the lead in the very first minute _ fastest goal of the season _ but Aridane Santana (15th, 45th) netted a brace to help the visitors clinch a come-from-behind win.

The brace by Santana put him in the lead for ISL Golden Boot race with nine goals for Odisha FC this season. He was adjudged the Hero of the Match. Club Award of the match was also bagged by Odisha FC.

 

Odisha FC goalkeeper Francisco Dorronsoro also played important role in their win over Hyderabad FC, saving a penalty kick in the first half. He went on the claim the award as the Player of the Match.

Carlos Delgado won the Winning Pass of the Match Award, while Jerry Mawihmingthanga took the ISL Emerging Player of the Match Award.

Thanks to their fourth win in a row and sixth of the season, Odisha are now fourth on the table with 21 points from 13 matches. They have a five-point advantage over fifth-placed Mumbai City, who have a game in hand. Hyderabad FC remain at the bottom with five points.
