Odisha Cricket Association (OCA) is all set to conduct the MGM Odisha T20 Cricket League 2020-21 at Barabati Stadium, Cuttack from 27 December, 2020 to 13 January, 2021. This is second domestic T20 tournament, OCA is organising within a fortnight. This was preceded by Senior Men Inter-District T20 League at Barabati Stadium from 14 to 22 December, 2020.
Total six teams, constituted by OCA, will compete in the upcoming tournament, which would feature a total of 33 matches, including semifinals and the final. As many 93 players, selected from the Inter-District T20 League, would represent the six teams in the OCL T20 League. Teams will play 30 matches on double-leg format and top four among them would qualify for the semifinals.
The six teams have been named as Odisha Lions, Odisha Tigers, Odisha Panthers, Odisha Cheetas, Odisha Pumas and Odisha Jaguars. Each team will be guided by one coach and one manager. Matches will be played in a bio-secured bubble and without spector.
OCL T20 will be conducted in association with Twenty First Century Media (TCM), a leading sports marketing and management company, founded by sports journalist and entrepreneur Lokesh Sharma. MGM company, of which OCA president Pankaj Lochan Mohanty is a Director, will be the title sponsors of the OCL T20.
