Fine allround performance by Rajkishan Patel helped Odisha Tigers beat Odisha Jaguars by 28 runs in the seventh match of the MGM Odisha T20 Cricket League at Barabati Stadium in Cuttack today. This was the second win in three matches for the Tigers and they joined Odisha Cheetas and Odisha Panthers at the top of the points table.

Patel hit an anbeaten 44 and followed it with three wickets for 27 runs to be adjudged the Man of the Match. In reply to a modest total of 128 by the Tigers, Odisha Jaguars could make 100 for nine. For the Jaguars, this was their third defeat in a row.

Meanwhile, Odisha Lions registered their first win, pulverizing Odisha Pumas by 10 wickets in the second match of the day. Swastik Samal and Subhrajyoti Mishra shared an unbeaten stand of 103 runs for the opening wicket for the Lions with unbeaten knocks of 56 and 43 respectively. However, Lions bowler Abhisek Giri pocketed the prize as the Man of the Match for his superb haul of three for 18.

Match 8: Odisha Pumas 101/8 in 20 overs (Pratik Das 30, Soubhagya Mohanty 25; Abhisek Giri 3/18, Deepak Behera 2/23) lost to Odisha Lions 103/0 in 14.5 overs (Swastik Samal 56*, Subhrajyoti Mishra 43*) by 10 wickets. MoM: Abhisek Giri.
