Odisha Green, Odisha Yellow and Odisha Orange registered wins in the first three matches of the OCA Women Cricket League, which commenced at different venues in Bhubaneswar today. Odisha Green beat Odisha Red by six wickets, Odisha Yellow edged out Odisha Violet by 13 runs and Odisha Orange got the better of Odisha Purple by six wickets.
Pragyan Paramita Mohanty and Kalpana Nayak shone in the Odisha Greeen win, hitting an unbeaten 61 and bagging four wickets for 16 runs respectively. Anjali Singh was architect of the Odisha Yellow win, scoring 51 runs off 94 balls. The tournament is being organised by Odisha Cricket Association (OCA).
An unbeaten century, the first in the tournament, by captain Madhusmita Behera went in vain as Odisha Purple suffered defeat despite mustering a healthy total of 215 for five in the exciting third match of the day. But Odisha Orange overhauled the target in the last ball of the day, thanks to a Sarita 132-ball 92 by Sarita Meher and 49 by Kusum Tiriya.

Match 2 (At Town Club Ground): Odisha Yellow 157/8 in 50 overs (Anjali Singh 51, Priyanka Priyadarshini Sahu 20; Sushree Dibyadarshini 2/9, Preeti Priyadarsani 2/31) beat Odisha Violet 144/9 in 50 overs (Sangeeta Khadia 55, Rasmita Chinhara 21; Priyanka P Sahu 2/28) by 13 runs.
Match 3 (At Vikash Ground): Odisha Purple 215/5 in 50 overs (Madhusmita Behera 125*, Leona Priyadarshini 22, Rani Tudu 21; Bhabani Dhada 2/47, Rameswari Naik 2/18) lost to Odisha Orange 218/4 in 50 overs (Sarita Meher 92, Kusum Tiriya 49; Laxmipriya Naik 2/24) by 6 wickets.
