Odisha ended campaign with a bronze medal on the fifth and last day of the 36th National Junior Athletics Championship at Sarusajai Stadium in Guwahati, Assam today. Madhumita Deb secured the bronze in U-20 girls 200 metre sprint, clocking 24.90 seconds.

Overall, Odisha secured 14th position in the medal tally with a total of seven medals in the championship. The seven medals included one gold, two silver and four bronze. Haryana topped the tally with a total of 55 medals (21 gold, 20 silver, 14 bronze).

Earlier on the penultimate day, Dillip Nayak finished fifth in U-20 men 800m run with a time of 1:56.17. Odisha Athletics Association fielded a 12-member state squad in this National Junior Championship.
