Odisha enter semifinals of the Nagesh Trophy 3rd National T20 Cricket Tournament for the Blind with an 89-run win over Jharkhand in the third quarterfinal at Sachin Tendulkar Cricket Ground in Bengaluru today. Odisha batsman Nakul Badanayak hit 81 to be adjudged the man of their QF match.
Pankaj Bhue was another outstanding performer for Odisha, bagging three wickets for 14 runs. Opting to bat, Odisha got off to a sparkling start with Nakul Badanayak and Lingaraj Rautara (44) putting on 111 runs in the opening wicket. Eventually, Odisha compiled a healthy total of 211 runs, losing five wickets.
In reply, Jharkhand could make 127 for seven in the stipulated overs. Tapan Kumar Gouda was second most successful bowler for Odisha, taking two wickets for 18 runs. Odisha will take on Karnataka in the semifinals at Altiore Sports Green Park Ground, Bengaluru tomorrow.
