Fine allround performance by captain Madhusmita Behera enabled Odisha Purple beat Odisha Green by six wickets in the sixth match of the MGM Odisha Women T20 Cricket League (OWCL) at KIIT Cricket Ground in Bhubaneswar today. This was the second win for the Purple and they joined Odisha Violet at the top of the league table with eight points each.

Madhusmita picked up two wickets for 11 runs and hit an unbeaten 40 to be adjudged the woman of the match against the Green. D Janaki Reddy also performed well for the Purple, bagging three wickets for 16 runs.

Odisha Yellow rode on a nice knock of 46 by Sangeeta Khadia to defeat Odisha Violet by six wickets in the fifth match of the league earlier today. Violet captain Anjali Singh hit a half-century in this match, but her knock went in vain. This was the first win for Yellow and first defeat for Violet.
