A 14-member Odisha squad left Bhubaneswar today to participate in the 13th National Wheelchair Fencing Championship, which is scheduled to be held at Karnal in Haryana on March 27 and 28, 2021. The squad has eight male and six female fencers, including four internationals.

The State squad was given a warm send-off by office-bearers of Para Sports Association of Odisha (PSAO), including president Kamala Kanta Rath and treasurer Sunil Pradhan. Before leaving for the National championship, the para fencers underwent rigorous training at the PSAO office in Bhubaneswar.

ODISHA SQUAD:

Men: V Ramesh Rao, Rakhal Kumar Sethy, Debamruta Sahoo (all internationals), Prabhakar Behera, Prafulla Kumar Khandayatray, Amiya Ranjan Tripathy, Niku Pradhan, Pabitra Sahoo.

Women: Malati Panaure (International), Pujaswini Nayak, Sila Mantri, Juli Sahoo, Karimun Nisha, Supriya Biswas.
