Odisha FC today named Vinit Rai, Victor Mongil and Hector Rodas as their captains for the 8th season of the Indian Super League. The three captains were voted by the players of the Bhubaneswar-based ISL team.

Explaining the process of voting Assistant Coach Kino Garcia said, "Every player had to put three names in a paper and drop it into a box that I had kept. According to the rule, every player had to put at least one name of an Indian player along with the foreign players. The coaching staff also took part in the voting process."

SAWHNEY, REMTLUANGA, TYAGI CALLED FOR MAIN TEAM: On 20 October 2021, Odisha FC announced that three of their youth team graduates had been selected in the main team for the 8th season of the Indian Super League.

The three are: Deven Sawhney, CVL Remtluanga (Chhangte junior) and Akshunna Tyagi. Delhi forward Tyagi had put up impressive show in the 2019-20 season of the Elite League (U-18) by scoring 20 goals for OFC. Delhi defender and Mizoram winger Chhangte Jr were trained at the Aspire Academy in Dohi.
