As many as five State level sports bodies of Odisha convened respective Annual General Meetings (AGM) at the Odisha Cricket Association Conference Hall in Barabati Stadium, Cuttack today. The five state bodies were: Odisha Olympic Association (OOA), Odisha Athletics Association (OAA), Football Association of Odisha (FAO), Odisha Volleyball Association (OVA) and Odisha Amateur Boxing Association (OABA).
At the OOA AGM, annual reports and audited statements, presented by secretary Avijit Paul, was passed. A budget of Rs 4,55,67,188 for the year 2021-22 was also approved.
Similar was the case at the OAA AGM, where a budged of Rs 45 lakh for the year 2021-22 was approved. OAA secretary Asirbad Behera and other office-bearers were present in the meeting.
Decisions to set up first National Volleyball Academy of India in KIIT, Bhubaneswar and the first State Volleyball Academy of Odisha in Kandhamal were taken in the AGM of OVA. It is now immediately know as to what happended in the AGMs of FAO and OABA.
